Dripping Springs Fair and Rodeo Announces Its 2019 Royals

Georgie Seagraves, DSFR Queen

The 2019 DSFR Queen is a freshman at Dripping Springs High School. Seagraves is active with the Future Farmers of America and its shooting team. She won her first belt buckle for the sport at this year’s Houston Rodeo. She is a member of the National Junior Honor Society and enjoys bible study at Austin Ridge Bible Church. Seagraves aspires to attend Texas A&M University (hopefully through a shooting sports scholarship) to study veterinary medicine.

 

Grace Vasicek, 1st Runner-Up Duchess

Grace Vasicek is a homeschooled student who also attends classes at Austin Community College. She volunteers weekly with the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry. Vasicek also plays the violin and will often perform for residents at assisted living facilities. Her passion is archery.  Vasicek is headed to the International Field Archery Association Indoor Championships in New Zealand this year to compete. Last year, she won first place in her division at the  National Field Archery Association Indoor Nationals in Ohio. One of her goals is to make it to the 2024 Olympics.

Caylee Alexander, 2nd Runner-Up Duchess

Caylee Alexander attends Texas Connections Academy, which is an online homeschool. She is involved with Dripping Springs 4-H and volunteer activities with St. John Neumann Catholic Church. Alexander enjoys raising cattle and has done so for about a decade. She says her work with cattle has taught her about responsibilities and disciplines of life. Alexander’s future goals entail attending a good college, preferably Texas A&M University, to obtain a degree in veterinary medicine.

Marley Heth, Jr. Princess

Marley Heth is a 4th grader at Dripping Springs Elementary. There, she is a section leader in the choir, participates on the local swim team, and serves as the school’s chicken coop manager. Heth is a member of 4-H and an is animal lover. She won first place for a public speaking speech on the topic of creating a hotel for stray dogs. Heth is a weekly volunteer with her church, New Life Lutheran. She enjoys reading to the congregation, assisting with serving communion and tending to the church’s community garden. Heth aspires to attend a college in Texas and then move on to seminary to become a church pastor.
